E is a big baby, a little over 20 lbs at 6 months. He's EBF and this is just how we are in my family, rolly-poly thunder-thighs babies until crawling, and then we even out and grow up to be average size. Anyway, we use BG organic OS for daycare, and we also have one of Babykicks' new bumboo OS, and they are all on the largest setting already!! As in, they barely fit E now, and I can't imagine how they will fit him much longer! Anyone else run into this problem? I am hoping that once he starts crawling he will slim down and lengthen out and they will start fitting him better again, but I really want some reassurance from the EFFers out there ? tell me this is possible, and that we're not going to be out of our very expensive OS diapers at 7 months!!!
Re: Anyone else have his problem with OS diapers?
A lot of babies get to the largest setting very quickly and then as they get more mobile and thin out, they go back down.
My DD has been between the large and medium size on her OS diapers several times. She is in the large setting now, I think to stay, but we still have plenty of room to go around the waist.
She was 18 lbs at 6 months.
I'm sure he'll slim back down and at some point you might be re-snapping those settings. If worse came to worse, you could always sell off your CDs and get a size large of something else as they seem to be bigger than the one-sizes. BG organics have good re-sale so I think you would be fine.
Please do a review of the Bumboo!!! I've been wanting to order one but haven't heard any reviews yet. Are you liking?
Big E (6) & Little E (2.5)
Thanks, ladies, I'm glad to hear we're not the only ones in this situation. I am holding out hope!
As for the Bumboo, I DO like it. I'll do a review in a separate thread.
