HELP SUDAFED!!

in 2nd Trimester

Ive been sick for a few days...dr told me to take Sudafed to dry up my nose. When i went to buy it i had to show them my id and they told me people use it to make meth and thats why i need an id. The pharmacist was pregnant and she said she takes it and its fine.

Im worried. Is this ok to take??????

    Both the doc and pharmacist said it was fine.

    Do you know how many household items can be used to make meth? Like... all of them.

    Sudafed is fine (as per your dr and the pharmacist).

    Meth is bad.

    The minute they told me that it just kinda freaked me out. Ive never taken any type of meds pregnant but i couldnt breathe out of my nose at all!

    Im all paranoid now...I know im worrying too much here but i just want the baby to be ok :(?

    Original Sudafed is on my list of OK meds.  If it makes you feel better and your doctor says its OK, go for it!  Feel better and don't worry about meth!!

    I've taken it through all 3 of my pregnancies. If I don't take a decongestant with my allergy meds every day I get an instant sinus infection. I'd prefer to go without, but I would just end up on an endless stream of antibiotics instead.

    They boil it down for the pseudoephedrine, and add all sorts of crap to it. As long as you aren't drinking draino to go with it, don't worry about :)
