I was born in Canada, lived in the US for the past 20 yrs as a permanent resident so I applied to become a citizen. When I was sworn in they ask you give up allegiances to your previous country which I said I did but was never asked to give up my Cdn passport. Canada doesn't require you to give up your passport either and allows me to move back and work if I want as a citizen.
