Breastfeeding support group

Besides the La Leche League groups, has anyone attended a breastfeeding support group in the western burbs (Downers, Hinsdale, Lombard, etc)?  My hospital doesn't have a specific BF group, and I feel like I could use some support of moms in the same position as me.  TIA!

    I delivered out of CDH in Winfield and they have great classes/support groups.  They have a group for BF that I found to be very helpful and supportive.  You can check them out on their website and there is a link for support groups right on the site.

    Tricia-where do you live?  I am in Naperville!  I would def be interested in a BF support group this summer when the little guy arrives!

    I have not taken my breastfeeding classes yet, but I am taking them at Hinsdale Hospital. There is a support group in Willowbrook that I have heard of  Antares Institute of Integrative Health, 545 Plainfield Road, Suite E, Willowbrook. (630) 321-2296

    I went to the one at hinsdale every week until Matt was 11 weeks (until i went back towork) It is Tuesday at noon. I found it extremely helpful. i went even if i didn't have questions because BF was just hard and it was nice to hear how it wasn't just me. Also it was helpful to get out of the house....it was our outting for the day.

    also i took this class, in my opinion it was just ok. The LC at Hinsdale were so helpful when i was in the hospital and that is what i really needed.however for me BF was more like riding a bike, you don't know until you really try.

    Edward Hospital has a class and they have lactation consultants that are wonderful too.  I haven't taken the class but I made 2 appts to see the LC's right after my son was born and they helped soo much.  They take pretty much all insurance and will even give advice over the phone.
