Antibiotics

I wanted to start pumping this week but I got a UTI and have been on antibiotics so I don't want to pump and store antibiotic milk.  How long should I wait after taking my last dose to start pumping to be sure the antibiotic is out of my milk?

    Ask your doc about it, but I had to take two 10 day courses of antibiotics for mastitis and they were both safe for BFing so I just nursed through.  Ideally you can keep BFing while on antibiotics, but of course it depends on the drug.

    I took both Keflex and Dicloxycillin.
