I scalded what I had from a little less than 48 hrs...that tasted slightly off. Now its not as bad. So that means I can scald once a day at the end of the day. Thats doable!
So questions now.
Can I add scalded from one night to the next nights stash? After they are both cooled of course.
Also I remember looking at the fresher stuff and seeing that it was seperated the way its supposed to be...but the older stuff wasnt...Maybe thats also a sign?
Re: Scalding worked...I think...questions
I'm glad it worked! I remember feeling like this was such a PITA in the beginning but once I got used to doing it once a day, it just became part of the routine.
We added scalded from one night to the next night (at same temp.) and just followed the rules for storage/freezing based on the date of the later pumped milk. Does that make sense?
As for the separation question, I have no idea.
Ditto this exactly. I guess I didn't notice any separation difference, but that would make sense.
