3 months and standing?!! (not on his own, of course)

DS loves to stand on my lap, on his changing table, on the floor... he just loves to stand!  And I am like, "What??  you are too little to be doing this!"  Anyone else's 3 month old standing when you hold them up?  I didn't think they could do that at this young of an age.  I've babysat plenty of babies and I don't remember them standing so stiffed legged at 3 months!  He loves it though...he laughs and smiles the whole time!

    mine has pressure on his feet in the hospital. so yea, i see it every day! he can now stand while holding on to a table. scary stuff.

    That's great, my DD is the same way!!

     In fact last night DH was like "watch this" and had her holding on to the couch while standing on the floor by herself for a few seconds (of course his hands were right there ready to catch).

    We figure she's just going to forgo crawling and go right to walking.

    My DD loves to stand all the time. She was standing at 2 months. I didn't think that she should be doing it that early but the doctor said that a lot more babies are doing it around that time

    It seems like it's more typical than not.  DS started this around 2 months and at that appointment his pedi was like "neat, they usually start that around 4".

    Its actually really normal for a baby that age to "stand" when held up. Its almost like a reflex for them to lock their knees.

    Yeah, DH's cousin's DD has been standing since she was like two months old.  She's very very small though so it's not like she has a lot of weight to support, lol.

    DD does the same thing. She's been doing it for over a month now, probably since about 2.5 months or so. She loves doing it. I think it seems to be more typical now. And it's really cute!!

    My LO has been "standing" for a while now. Doc said it's pretty normal (of course I was convinced that she was some kind of mega-advanced super baby.)
