My FFFC

I really don't like breastfeeding. I thought I would love it but not at all I am not sure if it will get better but I am sick of leaking all over the place. LO doesnt like the bottle that much and loves nursing. She is out cold usually after each feed. So I dont want to take it away from her... Maybe I need to try to offer more bottles but I think bottles are a pain! I can be done feeding her before DH could get a bottle ready.

Now saying that I still plan to breastfeed for a year because:

1. I want to save money - pump is already bought, nursing bras, storage bags, etc.

2. I am a pediatric dietitian and not breastfeeding would go against everything I believe

But its okay not to like it right? And still know its the best for my LO and family

    I actually think it says something great about what a great Mom you are.. You hate it yet you still do it because it's best for them! Sounds like a Mom thing to me! Smile

    I feel the exact same way... I consider it more of a chore than "bonding.  I already bought the pump, bras, bags, etc as well, that is about the only thing that is keeping me going. 

    I will continue to do it as long as possible, my goal right now is 6 months.

    Right now I kind of hate it, bc it still hurts so much and it's making me so sad that it's often more like torture than a bonding experience. It is so not what I expected. I'm pretty bummed out about it.

    You know, I felt the same with my first baby and bfing and just set short term goals for myself.  I said okay, I'll do it for 3 mo, then 6 mo, then hey, I ended up making it to a year.  It gets easier and easier as they get older and more efficient at eating faster.  You are still only one month into it.  I guess I can't say I LOVE felling like I always have to feed her and I do hate pumping but I just wanted to say it does get better with time.
