Does your DH kiss LO on the lips?

I smooch my LO all the time, but DH says he feels weird kissing her on the lips.  Anyone else?

  • I just asked my hubby.  He said he does not kiss her on the lips.  He didn't say he felt weird about it or anything though.  He said he rubs his nose on her lips.

  • My H pats my sons head, the closest he got to kissing him on the lips was a smooch on his forehead. He says it is a guy thing ::::insert eye roll:::::
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!

  • Nope.  But then again I hardly ever do either.  Only my MIL does it all the time.

  • We both do.  DH doesn't seem to feel weird about it. He's always done it to all of our kids.  I"m sure at some point we'll both stop because I feel weird about it with other adults.  My mom still kisses us on the lips as does my dad's whole family, and I don't like it as an adult.  But other than my kids and husband, I'm not a touchy person.

  • My family isn't lip kissers, so we don't kiss LO on the lips. Cheeks, forehead, hands, arms, feet, legs...pretty much everything else is game. I think it's what you are comfortable and familiar with. For example, my best friend's family are all lip kissers, so when her LO comes over to play, he always wants to kiss me goodbye on the lips. I let him, because that's what he is used to and I don't see anything wrong with it, but we just don't do it.
  • My DH does but I don't. I am the one who feels weird about it!
  • neither one of us do
  • Niether of us do because we don't want to be passing any cold germs to him since his immunity system is not as strong as ours. In baby care class they actually told us to keep everyone from kissing baby's face for this reason. They said to ask people to keep their kisses to the top of the head.

  • Neither of us do.  I've tried, but it feels wierd.  I've never kissed my nephew on the lips either even when he goes to give "good bye kisses" both DH and I turn our heads to have him kiss our cheeks because it's just wierd (and his lips are usually dirty/sticky).  It's not something I plan on teaching LO either, she can kiss people on the cheeks.

  • No, not yet. She still opens her mouth to suckle. I do with dd1, but I don't think dh does. I'm sure at some point, like when she is 12 she won't want to anymore.

  • No, my DH doesn't, but I do.  He thinks it's weird for him to kiss DS on the lips, but he kisses the rest of his face.

  • I have been known to but not lately since I have had a stuffy nose.  DH normally just a forehead kiss.
  • My DH does, I don't because I don't want to give him germs! I'm a germ freak

  • We both do. One of our first nights at home I looked at Sean and said "i can tell she's mine cause I kiss her on the lips..." he said he was glad i told him that because he was wondering if it was weird that he did too. Her little lips are just so darn cute! And really, when kisses are falling all over, why leave them out?

  • DH kisses her all the time cheeks and lips. Although right now if anything touches her lips she tries to suck on it so her thinks its funny. He kissed her chin once and she sucked on his nose.

    this.

DH and i kiss DD on her cheeks but no one else does.  our pedi told us to NEVER kiss LO on the mouth = directly passes germs.
