How many weeks do you typically leave from when you send invites out to when the shower is?

Invitations should go out about a month ahead of the date. If you have people that would be traveling long distances/booking flights, I'd give them more of a heads up.

I would say 4 to 6 weeks. I think my hostess is sending mine 5.5 weeks before asking for RSVPs 2 weeks before.

For me, 3 weeks would be difficult because I would think people already had plans (I know I would) and most people I know have to travel. But I guess it depends on your guest list and circle.

4-6 wks since ours is toward the end of spring where activities tend to pick up among our circle of friends.
