DD does a 4-5 one hour stretch at night. Then a 3 hour stretch, then a 2 hour stretch. She's almost 3 months old. Every baby is different, though. Some bumpies have LOs that are STTN already.
My DS is 7 weeks and he will go to sleep at 10 wake up at 3 or 3:30, sleeps again until 7 and then we are up for the day! It will come with time every baby is different!
my son was up every 2 hours on the dot. it should stop soon... and then you'll forget it ever happened and try to do it all over again. hang in there, it will get better!!!
My little girl started sleeping through the night at 7 weeks. We started using the BEST invention ever, and it is called the swaddle wrap by kiddopotomas. I never used it when she was first born becuase I was breastfeeding and I was afraid it would be to tight on her. The first night I wrapped her in that swaddler, she was out ALL NIGHT. I woke up so afraid to go in her room, but she was soundly sleeping. The best investment we could have made for her...and for us!
Well, my LO goes in weird cycles so I can't help. She wakes up anywhere between 1.5 hours and 6 hours (which I am pretty sure is considered STTN). But it changes all the time which completely messes with my supply. So sometimes I will wake up just because I am so engorged.
If you are desperate for sleep can DH take the baby for a few hours (outside the house) so you can sleep? This is my lifesaver.
My DD also sleeps for about 4 hours, then 2-3 hours, then 1-2 hours at night. It's exhausting but luckily she will usually take a 2 hour nap mid-morning. Lately i've finally been able to nap while she is napping so I try to take advantage of it. I can't wait until she starts STTN!!! I'm so jealous of all the mommy's of babies that STTN early on, but feel blessed to have such a happy baby all day long.
Sounds like cluster feeding...my baby did that from day 7-10...now, day 17 she's sleeping 3-4 hours between feedings. She's been doing that for the past 3 days. In fact today, she's fed and then slept 3-4 hours each time...I even managed to sleep along with her and clock in 10 hours of collective sleep today. That's the most I've had since the start of my third tri!
Re: when will this hell be over? feeding every 90mins at night
My LO is 7 1/2 weeks and still doesn't sleep anywhere close to 4 hr stretches
thank god you said this... I'm so sick of seeing these posts about STTN.
