Jeepers Crow! Angel care monitor costs how much?

Holy MAN! I just looked on amazon and the angelcare monitor was $149.00 Really? That seems like a lot to me! What did you pay?

    we got ours at babies'r'us for $139 but we had a coupon offer for a $20 b'r'us gift card when you purchased any monitor over $90....(we bought diapers with the gift card).  but i was going to buy it anyway.....and it is worth every penny.  i sleep so much better, i don't jump up over every little grunt....i can just look at the monitor and see she is breathing!

    Yeah it's more than a lot of other monitors, but it is SOOOOO SO SO worth every single penny. We are very tight on money and still couldn't imagine not having it. I love it because I don't have to stare at her belly to make sure she's breathing or touch her to make sure, all I need to see is that light blink. I also love that it displays the temperature so that she won't get too hot. Best money spent - ever!

    I was surprised too when I researched it the other day.  We plan on getting one, but right now she sleeps in the rock 'n' play sleeper due to her acid reflux.  Anyways, my DH and I plan on buying this when she starts sleeping in her own room or in her pack n play.  Since it can't be used, we're waiting to fork out the money during her transition.  If you find it somewhere cheaper, please let me know!

    I tell you, if you ever have that alarm go off and run into the nursery only to see your LO take a gigantic gasping breath, you'll thank God that you spent that money. That happened to me and two friends of mine (who I both told about our "incident" and convinced them to buy the Angelcare monitor). I swear by that monitor.

    I got ours for $90 at BRU but it's not the deluxe....ours only came w/ one parent monitor & no temp guage.
