We have safely arrived in Wiesbaden, Germany and are all pretty jet lagged. I think it will take a while to get over it. Poor DS is all messed up! With all of the travel and living out of hotels, which we will be doing for AT LEAST another month, his generally good eating habits have gone seriously downhill.
I have a very small fridge and a microwave. Nothing else. I'm trying to think of ways to tempt DS into eating some healthier food. Chicken nuggets and fries are okay once in a while, but we've eaten that kind of thing more that I'd like lately out of necessity. He will eat fruit (fresh and dried) and breakfast bars and breakfast sausage sometimes. Any ideas for some easy healthy options to get him eating more protein and veggies? I'm worried about him, since he's a little guy and could stand to gain some weight...and he just isn't eating enough quantity-wise right now.
Re: Need help with food ideas for suddenly-picky toddler...
peanut butter? Most meats aren't supposed to be cooked in the microwave because of uneven cooking... and the damage it does to the protein. you could get 1 type of frozen veggies and cook them as soon as you bring them "home" and then keep them in the fridge for mealtimes. Or get them fresh... what about spinach? spinach is good with almost everything! What about deli meat? quick, easy and doesn't need to be heated.
