We used to have one when my sister and I were little but I haven't seen anything like this in the stores now.
We just transitioned K out of her infant tub and ended up getting a mini blow up tub that fits in a regular bathtub. That way K isn't sliding all over the place in a regular size tub but has more room to bathe/play than what she did in her infant tub.
This is something similar.. I saw this at walmart the other day and I swear it was around $9 in the store.
J has really gotten too big to sit in his infant tub, but I just don't feel it's safe to have him sit by himself in the big tub. I can't hold his arm to keep him still and wash him at the same time...I need extra arms I had forgotten about the inflatable tubs. I think I'll go that route...thanks ladies!
We used a laundry basket w/ a towel in the bottom of it and put that in the bath tub. Yes, the towel got wet but Avery could sit in the laundry basket and if she fell she didn't fall far. (and of course we were tehre to catch her)
SHe was about 6 months old when we started this - she was sitting on her own but not very well. The duck tub is cute but it just wasn't practial for us.
I say yay, but wait until you get to that stage to see if you will need one. When Caleb got too big for the baby bath, but was still too wobbly to sit on his own in the big tub, we put him in a ring seat. It worked great. We didn't have to use it very long though b/c he was soon able to sit on his own and be stable. It was the same seat I used with Haley years ago, which I got at a kid's consignment. So I never invested much money into one. I was glad to have it though.

I hadn't thought about this either. But, it's hard to keep J from pulling up on the side of the tub!
This is one we have. If you squeeze its beak it quacks and Allie loves it!

We are using this seat. Aidan can't sit alone well enough yet.
