Can certain bottles cause baby to spit up?

DS is two months old and just started spitting up frequently, where as before he never did.  I usually use the playtex ventair bottles and i love them, but since the 6 oz bottles are going to be too small soon (the ventair 9 oz bottles only come w/ a fast flow nipple), i bought dr. brown bottles b/c they are bigger.  everytime i use the dr. browns bottles, he spits up....i'm thinking theres a correlation, but i'm not sure..

    maybe the dr brown's nipple is letting him drink faster than usual?

    you could always buy the ventaire slow flow nipples separately. that's how we use the 9 oz bottles.

    We use both Dr. Brown's and the Ventaire... neither make LO spit up.  Are you sure your using the Level 1 nipples on the Dr. Brown's?  My set came with Level 1, 2, 3, and 4. Level 1 is the smallest.

    yeah i made sure to get level 1.  I made the mistake once of accidentally giving him a bottle with a fast flow nipple...not good...felt like the worst mom ever.  now i'm a little neurotic about checking the nipple size lol..

    We bought the Ventaire standard slow flow nipples for the 9 oz. bottles as well.
