Does your little one have the same hair color as you or DH? Both of our boys are redheads. I have blond hair and DH has brown. It amazes me how often we get comments on the fact that their hair color is different! I am not sure if this is just because they are redheads or because people think LO's should have the same color hair as their parents.

So, does your LO have the same hair color as you or SO? If not, do you get a lot of comments about it?

DH and I both have dark brown hair and Noah has medium-brown hair. We both had various shades of brown growing up, so I'm sure he will too.

Lo has brown hair like me. He does have touches of red in certain lighting. My DH is a red head.

i have blonde. dh has dark dark auburn.

our girls have red.

and jenny, you guys must both be recessive for red. it *is* strange to have redheads and neither parents do.

I have red hair, DH has light brown. Collin has blonde curly hair like DH did when he was little.

See family pic for respective hair colors. DH and I were both blond when we were little though, so I'm actually a little surprised Alex's hair has always been brown.

(OK, I guess Will almost looks bald in that pic, but his hair is kinda platinum blond, though parts of it look darker.)

Yeah she has the same as us at that age. Both mine and dh were blonds as kids and then it turned to that dumb brown color, that isn't really a color in my opinion. It's not a pretty brown it's just right inbetween, like neutral.

DH and I both have fairly dark brown hair now but DH was a complete towhead (like white hair) until he was about 12. Same with his sisters (one of them darkened to brunette, the other is sort of a mousy blonde now). DS has had dark hair since the minute he was born.

My hair is brown and straight. DH's hair is curly blonde, and was platinum blonde as a kid. DS got his dad's blonde curls, but its dark blonde like DH's hair is now.

K has really light blonde hair, and both DH and I have dark brown hair. But... DH had really light blonde hair until about middle school, then it started getting darker.

How funny that you got 2 redheads.

DD has blond hair. It's the color DH's was when he was a kid. His is a light brown now and mine is dark brown.

I get asked where she got the blond from, too. Or if her daddy is blond.

eta - BIL had the same color DH did as a child, but his stayed light. I also have a brother with dirty blond hair, so who knows, she may keep it! lol

it's funny b/c DD has dirty blonde hair, like I did at her age. DH also has dirty blonde hair, but had white hair as a baby. We always get comments about how we all have the same color hair, only DH's was nothing like hers at her age.

I am guessing the comments are b/c you have redheads. Which, I am jealous of, by the way. love red hair!

I have medium brown hair and Mike has dark brown with red highlights.

Colin has very light brown with touches of red.

Mike has freckles, his dad is a redhead (now white) and so is his sister (and other family members), so the red in Colin's hair doesn't surprise me.

All 3 of us have brown hair. I have a patch of reddish blonde hair on the left side of my hair and DH has littel red hairs through out his hair and goatee. DS has this too.

DH and I both have very dark brown hair, almost black - both of our boys have blonde hair! LOL

We get comments all the time, but I do think it will change. Although DS1's hasnt yet and he is nearly 5.

also, DS1 is the spitting imagine of DH, brown eyes, etc. (except hair color) and DS2 has all my features, green eyes, etc.

She has reddish brown hair. Mine was close to that color as a baby but it's dark now. DH's hair is red.

DH and I have exactly the same color hair, dirty blond. Like, if you put our hair next to each other you couldn't tell whose was whose. DS is blonder than either of us, but will probably go darker as he gets older like DH and I did.

DH has almost black hair. Mine is medium golden brown. DD has golden blonde and DS is a true toe-head blonde. But, I had fairly light blonde hair as a child. Actually, it was naturally blonde until I got pregnant with my DS, then it darkened drastically.

DS1 has light brown hair, probably a touch blonder then what DH's hair currently is but it was a darker brown when he was born. DS2 has strawberry blonde hair (I'm a redhead), although his hair looks really blonde in most light and in other light and in pictures it looks more red.
