I'm sitting here staring at all the new stuff we have for G..and there is no room at the inn, believe me! I've got the high chair and playpen stuffed in my closet, everything else is in rubbermaid containers in the middle of the living room. Our nursery is under construction, which doesn't help.
Is there any trick to this? G already has more clothes than he will ever wear before he outgrows them. I'm thinking of doing baskets for his clothes that don't fit in the dresser I have yet to find, and little hat boxes for things like socks, shoes, etc..If you bought containers or have storage secrets, please share.
Re: Storage/organization for baby stuff?
No doubt! I washed everything from the shower and it took two hours to sort and fold it all. Those little socks are out of control!
At the beginning, I only washed the Newborn/0-3 month clothes and hung them in the closet (but she has a walk-in closet). The others I would put in plastic bins and only bring them out as she outgrew the others. The pjs, socks, etc I put in her dresser. You'll figure out your own system. Once his room is done, it will definitely help.

Def. get some kind of bookcase or shelf w/ bins. I am always surprised at how many of her toys I can cram in those bins. We have built ins in the den that I keep some of the bigger toys in. I use the top of her dresser as a changing table so in the top dresser drawer I keep diapers and wipes. I keep socks and tights in the other top drawer. Then middle drawer has pj's and the bottom drawer has stuff that's too small and ready to go to consignment/goodwill, etc. I usually wait until the next season and take a big load. In the closet I keep blankets and sheets folded and hang as many outfits as I can. The rest of the missmatched stuff goes in w/ pj's.
