I went to GBMC and had my car seat installed. The educator was very informative and it was worth the money. In addition to installing the seat he educates you on car seat how to use it etc? He also talks about the dangers of using aftermarket products such as bundle me and toys that hang off the seat. He is at GBMC once a week and it costs $30.00. He also has his own business where he will come to your home for car seat install, CPR classes, and other safety classes. If GBMC does not work for you I would check out his web site www.ssbesafe.com.
Re: PSA Car seat install
You can also get it done at the Johns Hopkins Children's Safety Center by the Pediatric ED on the main hospital campus. It is $10, by appointment only, but they are there 11-4 M-F. Very knowledgeable about current safety laws and NTSB recommendations. They also know about different types of seats and how they fit in different types of cars.
Here's the link, although I don't know how to make it clicky.
