Question of the Day: Does anything surprising spike your sugar? Have you tried to get away with something and it didn?t go as well as you hoped? In turn, can you eat something that you didn?t think you could- that has ended up being fine!? (I tried to get away with ketchup- not so much luck?)

I was surprised with being able to drink sweet tea. I had several glasses with dinner 1 night & my #s were suprsingly low. Something that I thought would be good & wasn't was a lean cuisine pizza!
I'm not sure what will be for lunch today!
So my surprise snack that didn't spike me - my mom got me these awesome sea salt, caramel, almond granola bars - NO spike!!
Certain salad dressings have been really bad for me - to where I just stick with low-cal ranch at this point.
Lunch today? Not sure - probably some fast Lean Cuisine that I have stockpiled with a salad
UPDATE! My c-section has been scheduled for Sunday, Feb 28th!
I don't know why I was suprised but a sugar free latte spike my sugar. I was extremely disappointed. I can "cheat" more in the evening than I can in the morning so I usually have a small bowl of ice cream (made w/ splenda) for dessert.
Lunch? I haven't thought that far ahead yet
We had our 2nd NST this morning and all is well! I have another appt on Saturday and hope to nail down my c-section date!
Menu: what?s for lunch? I had a Lean Cuisine spaghetti & meatballs.
We have another growth u/s on Tuesday morning (was supposed to have it this AM- but had to reschedule due to snow)
Question of the Day: Surprisingly, I CAN eat pizza- I just have to have a lot of protein (hot wings for me!!!) along with it! Unfortunately, I can't even eat low-sugar oatmeal... I'm really getting sick of eggs for breakfast!!!
Menu: what?s for lunch? Since DH and I have a snow day today, we're making cheesesteak sandwiches (although, mine will be modified on WW bread, rather than on the yummy hoagie roll DH will be using....)

I tried to eat a cheeseburger at In n Out - supposedly it was to only be 39 carbs (which is under my 45 carbs allowed per meal) - that didn't work out so well. I tend to always have a problem if I eat anything I didn't prepare myself.
I do find that I can savor 4 squares of my 72% dark chocolate bar in the evenings and be just fine. It is under my carb limit, but it feels like I am being bad

I'm still learning the ropes so to speak. It's very hard for me to plan 6 meals a day, and keep up with the groceries, haha! I had high numbers today for some reason, and I ate what I usually eat for breakfast--small biscuit, sausage and cheese. Not sure what happened there. I am hoping to find some sort of snack food that is yum and won't spike my numbers. I just wish snicker bars would be the answer!

Surprise - Even when I had brown rice with vegetables, my #s spiked! Maybe it was the sodium on the veggies. I did better after Thanksgiving dinner than I did with Indian food for lunch.
Lunch - I had an egg salad sandwich on wheat. good stuff and good #s 2 hours later.
