New to ATL and 6 mos. pregnant

Hi Ladies! My husband and I just moved to ATL this past month and are expecting our first baby in May. While I will be giving birth up in NJ I'm looking for interim care/coverage while we're here. We don't know anyone here but a friend of a friend from up north recomended Dr. Jacob Spanier and I have an appointment in March with him. My husband and I are also signed up for several classes at Piedmont. I'd really appreciate any insight to the area as well as Pediatricians since that's what I'll be researching next.  TIA!

    Our pedi is in Kennesaw so I am sure that is too far for you to travel.  But I wanted to say welcome and good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

    I dont have any Piedmont info except that I took their breastfeeding class and it was free and good info so that might be helpful.  Welcome to the area and congrats!

    Jodylynn- We are signed up for the breastfeeding class as well as the Infant CPR and Prepared Childbirth classes. :)

    i just wanted to say welcome to the Atlanta area, i to am new, but new in a whole other way, still surprises me how different everything is here from back home in Canada. i cant help you with all your questions as im way lost when it comes to a pediatrician and everything else. but again WELCOME!

    Do you live near Piedmont? Piedmont Pedriatics is the big one that most of my neighbors and friends use. We see Dr. Elliott and we LOVE him. He's has helped us so much through all B's ear infections and has always answered all my new mommy questions. I really can't say enough good things about him.

    yes this is my first as well, thanks same to you. im due the first week of june, so not to far off at all. hope to get to know you better, and maybe play dates. (meeting new friends all over again has been the hardest especially with little one on the way)

    we are in stockbridge, we currently dont have a mode of transportation so its been hard to get out and met people.

    I interviewed with them for a job - they seemed nice (but big). We go to children's wellness center in Dunwoody - We LOVE Dr. Loventhal!
