The diamond I mailed is MIA

It's been 9 days since I mailed it priority registered mail. I called the tracking customer service because all the website shows is the package was received by the post office I mailed it from. The nice lady on the phone looked it up and said her side shows it "on route" to the destination since 2/3. She started counting the days since then and said, "Well that's not good". NO SH!T! So she sent a research request in and someone will contact me within 48 hours.

It's one thing to have a diamond lost, I insured it so I am not worried about the money. It's another entirely to lose your grandmother's diamond that was a gift from her husband 60 years ago.
