How many of you are working on your masters right now? I just started mine and I do NOT want to do my homework tonight! What are you going to school for and how long have you been working on it?
Finished mine in May I did an accelerated program that took me 2 years for my teaching credential and masters (MA in teaching with a reading specialization). It was intense, but well worth it in the end, get to work
DH is a masters student due to graduate in May. Writing his thesis semester is really taking up most of his time and attention. Luckily he still remembers that I exist.
I applied to a PhD program, of which I should find out my acceptance or not any day now! I check the status online like a fiend. I am so nervous!

I am currently debating about doing this. I would have to work full time though and PhD + work+ kids= almost impossible.

AH! How exciting! I'll be looking forward to reading that post!

In our state you have to have been a teacher for 3 years to apply for it. Even though my MA has been awarded and I have finished my thesis and all course work, I have to wait one more year to apply for it.
Thanks! I hope all the ladies in school right now don't let the stress get to them! I hear it effects fertility...
My DH firmly believes this is part of the reason I have been having a whacky time TTC. He tries to do sweet things for me and to help me relax, but if he would just keep the house clean and pick up his socks I think I could feel much more relaxed lol
I will have my masters degree in curriculum and instruction by July. DH is in a PhD program at Ohio State... I think I'm more looking forward to him finishing than me!

I think this is so ridiculous! I wanted to apply for my masters in education, but they told me I had to be a teacher for 3 years. However, I decided not to teach at all with my undergrad degree and started working for the Boys & Girls Club. I think people need to recognize that people do more with education degrees than teach in the conventional sense. I work with youth everyday and would have greatly benefited from my masters in education, oh well though, there is no way I wanted to teach in a school!

I am getting my certificate in English K-12. Then I will work as an English teacher while going for my Masters! At least that is the plan. Right now I work for a childrens publisher.

I'm getting my Master's in ESL. I started fall 2008, and should finish July 2011. I have 4 classes left, three until October and only one next July once baby would be here - if I get a BFP this month! Good luck to you all finishing your courses!
I am finishing up my education degree. I have SO much work to do however I am so sick of looking at fake lesson plans! ahhh can't wait for it all to be over.
I started in the Fall of 2008 and I am finished in May. I am getting my masters in Reading. I am looking forward to this summer as it will be my first summer without classes in a long time.
Eleven weeks until I finish my J.D.! Then I have the bar in July. The law is kind of backwards -- we get our doctorate before our masters. I don't think I'll have the energy for yet another few years of school.
I am currently in my second semester of a Master of Arts in Teaching program. After I complete my student teaching in the fall or spring, I will be able to get my certification for K-5. I will probably finish the degree either fall 2011 or spring 2012.

I'm in law school. I'm halfway through (it's a 3 year program) and will graduate in May 2011 if I don't end up taking a semester off to have a baby. I have had snow days all week and there is SO MUCH work I should be doing right now, but I am having a really hard time motivating myself to do it! ugh.
Married to DH since 6/30/2007 Me: 32 DH: 32 BFP #1: 4/1/2010 DS born: 12/3/10 TTC #2 since 5/2014 BFP # 2 : 6/16/14 EDD: 2/25/15 Missed Miscarriage discovered 7/10/14 D&C 7/17/14 Pathology results normal BFP #3: 10/21/14 EDD: 7/6/15 11/24/14: Saw heartbeat!
I have my MA in Marriage and Family Therapy, I am working on getting my state license so I can start my own practice as a therapist. I am also thinking about going back to get my PhD, still not sure though. Its not easy with a baby and as you can tell we are trying for another so its not going to get easier.
Dh graduated with his MBA the month we found out we were pregnant with DS (June 2008). Looking back I am so glad we waiting to get pregnant. I know a ton of women who had their baby while their husband was in the same MBA program as my DH and it is just flat out hard. Dh was always working on homework because he had a full time job as well so we had 0 time together. However, I did get to go on his international trip with him and it was a blast. We went to Thailand for two weeks.
I'm just finishing my Masters in Social Work. I am DONE in May! I have been going part time for four years. I have had many days when I didn't want to do my homework (mostly reading) but I got through it. The hardest time was being the genius that I am I planned my wedding so my midterms would be due during the honeymoon! I had to finish my midterm papers before the honeymoon! I worked it out though! Right now I only have my internship to finish up so no more homework! I cannot wait until May 15th! Good luck!!!
I'm in my last year of grad school in Marriage & Family therapy. I'm an intern for an agency, and I graduate this May! I started the program in Spring 2007 (started pre-reqs in Summer 2006), so it will be four years total. But it's only 3 years technically.
