Not yet. Tomorrow is my big lecture. Tomorrow night shall begin the laundry marathon. Then, Friday and Saturday shall be packing and pedicure days. Sunday, Valentine's Day (awwww!), we fly out. We board the ship Monday morning.

I must maintain composure until 3:30pm tomorrow. At which point, all bets are off. I may just run through the streets nekkid out of sheer giddiness.

I don't mean anything by it. I completely understand. You totally deserve every little thing for yourself. You are such a hard worker.

I think part of my problem is that I haven't even been staying at home a year yet, and I feel badly spending money that technically I didn't earn. When money feels tight I feel awful bc I'm "sitting at home", kwim?

I'm just saying I know how you feel right now. Staying at home & feeling like you earn the income too takes time. For you and your DH.

I used to buy the kids' clothes, crib bedding, ect w/ my "allowance" (free to spend money per pay). Every now and then, I find myself looking at my free-to-spend money and thinking about what the kids need, or I think they need. And in the end, I usually turn to DH to convince me to use it for me.

It took me nearly 16 months to think of spending extra money on me and not something for DS - I think w/ #2 I'll go through that ALL over again - so I say normal.
