There's a ton of them and we all get them, what's the one that gets on your nerves the most?
For me it's, "is it twins" or "don't tell me it's twins" while pushing the DSNG and the carriers are covered. IMO it's just the dumbest question, I've actually answered with, "no I just like pushing around the second for fun" sarcastically.
Re: What's your most annoying twin comment?
You are kidding! WOW.
"What kind are they?"
This. It still happens occasionally and my twins are 4!
I've had the "Are they identical?" question after explaining they are boy/girl as well. Sometimes I think it's just that people have canned questions and ask them in the wrong order
.
I don't have any super annoying comments yet, other than mentioned above. But I do get the people that stop and stare. And I don't mind, except I always wonder what I'm supposed to do in that situation--like, is it rude to walk away and go about my business? LOL! I suppose they are being rude for staring.
I get this, too. All the time. People are just plain stupid.
i am so so so so so so so sos osososoossosooso sick of
"you've got your hands full".
SO SICK OF IT.
How to tell my boys apart
The different types of twins and triplets
Jack, Sydney and Carynne, Annaleigh, JW, Eden...forever in our hearts.
My blog * We made the national news!
This isn't as much annoying as much as funny and I had always wanted to say it.
Weird co-worker: "Congratulations on you being pregnant. Do you know what it is?"
Me: "It's a baby."
(I got a good laugh at his expense!)
Are they real? my response "No I built them in the basement the best part is they have an off button"
Are they identical my response "Why yes they are, they are the first every boy, girl, boy identical triplets"
Are they triplets me" No I just collect babies" or my husband "no there are actually six of them we left the other three at home"
Look at the triplets my response "look at the lady who has never seen triplets or look at the singleton etc, etc etc"
yes I am a smart ass
"Do twins run in your family?"
That's mine!
I hate that one too. We did use fertility drugs, but its totally none of their business. I can't imagine asking someone a question that personal.
I think the "are they twins?" is the worst. Drives, me crazy. I even got a "how far apart are they?" "uh, 3 minutes" "oh, their twins?" "uh huh" she then explained she thought b/c one was bigger than the other (by 3lbs) that they must be 9 months apart and they didn't look anything alike.
LOL... what an ignorant comment to make, though I don't doubt parents of same sex twins hear it often. "Uhh... Human?!"
"Boy, you have your hands full!"
ANd they say it like no one has ever thought to say it before.
I hate this! Especially when I have J bundled all in blue and E all in pink. Um, its a boy and a girl. Try to keep up.
I get this all the time. "Well, I hope they're not identical, because then my little girl will have a penis and that's no good"
I also HATE when anyone asks "OMG when are you due?"
"Oh, not for 2 more months....I'm having twins"
"OH WOW! good luck with that! thats going to be so hard! i'm glad its you and not me!"
This! My twins are here but I get so sick of the... Oh it's twins AND 2 girls, good luck. Especially when they look at my husband with pity... gets me so mad!
Yesterday I got, "So, are they IVF twins?"
THIS
I got "How do you tell them apart?" I said "Well, let's see... one has a penis" lol
The worst one, though, was "Did you give birth to them vaginally?" .... and why, exactly, is the state of my vagina interesting to you??? Sheeesh!!
"omg twins are so much fun and so cute!" - um....have you had twins? i didn't think so.
"oh did you go through fertility treatments?" - no. either way, its none of your business. (no offense to anyone who did...i just didn't)
this too! UGH!
Oh...twins...but they're so tiny. Are you SURE they are 19 months?
I so want to choke some people to death, but then I'd be in jail and not able to raise my adorable babies!
This for sure! I had a NURSE in the hospital ask me if they were identical!!
my own brother did this while in the NICU holding my daughter. i just looked at them and then at him and rolled my eyes.
not only are they different sexes, but they have different color hair, eyes, and face shapes. ::sigh::
This!
Why in the h*ll do people think it's their business? and who would be so gauche as to ask this?? actually, tons of rude people ask me this and I am still pregnant with my twins. I wish I had a good comeback.
