I am searching for a take-home outfit for LO. What would you ladies recommend? A onesie? A whole outfit? A dress? Something cute for photos? What did you take your DDs and DSs home in?

We just had a fuzzy sleeper from Carter's. Nothing special. He peed on it during our first diaper change when we got home!

We had a one piece outfit from the GAP - less than 7 lbs size. Both my kids fit in it and were over 7lbs.

A cute terry cloth sleeper

We went home at 8pm... so it was dark out for pics and only grandma and grandpa were at our house to see him. I'm glad I didnt' go all out and spend tons of money on an outfit for him to wear home.

ditto on the cozy sleeper. I had a cute outfit and she was WAY too small, it was tough to get on her, and no one really saw it anyway. I quickly discovered she was just as cute in a plain white onesie that didn't distract from her face

Nothing ridiculous. Newborns are hard to dress and will most likely poop, pee or puke on their outfit. We picked something cozy and warm with a zipper so we could get him out of it quickly to change his diaper if need be.

We put him in a gap full body onesie w/ footies & foldover mittens on the sleeves, a matching hat & a plaid oversuit w/ "fur" in the hood to put over him since it was cold outside. It was really cute. He also wore that to his doc appt since it wasnt dirty & the appt was like 2 days later.
