So we beat the snow on Friday last week to get DD's ear tubes in. I went back with her as planned and was more composed than I expected. She did great - just struggled with the mask a bit and then got sleepy. But she didn't cry, which helped me not to cry. By the time I got settled in the waiting room with DH, the doc was out to tell us how it went (just like everyone says - it is over before you know it). She actually had another ear infection already (she had been off her medicine from the last infection for all of 3 days), which they drained. We were glad they didn't reschedule us because of it. She was pretty upset for half an hour in the recovery room and finally calmed down as we prepared to leave. She didn't want to eat or drink much of the day, but was back to her usual self the next day. Thanks for the support and good luck to those who have appointments coming up.
Re: Ear tubes are in - all is well so far
great! I'm glad everything went well.
we are on week 3 of no ear infection or fever which is a record for us since October. It's so nice to have a healthy baby!!!
Glad it went well. It's great to hear all these success stories. I'm sure I'll post what a mess I am when DD #2 gets hers in March.
