When will or did you take baby for 1st pics

We took DD1 when she was five days old. With DS and DD2 we waited/are waiting till 3 months. With three kids, we can't afford pictures all the time now.

We did photos at 5 days. This is my 2nd and last baby, so I wanted to be sure and get really good newborn pics.

We did ours at 10 days, and we had the photographer come to our house. We may have done them sooner but the photog only shoots on weekends.

10 days worked really well for us. I knew what time to expect her to eat at that point and I also felt OK to go to the studio myself. But it was early enough that she still had that "newborn" look before a growth spurt.

We were supposed to go when he was a week old but I got appendicitis and had to have surgery last Thursday so we had to postpone them until this week. He will be almost 2 weeks.
