XP'd from 2u2...this board is more active, though, so thought I'd ask here as well.
I know I have time, but I'm starting to stress about the logistics of getting 2 carseats in my car. I've got the Graco SnugRide for the baby, and DS is rear-facing in a Britax Roundabout 50. I drive a BMW 5-series wagon. I'm hoping I'll still be able to keep W RF, but currently he's in the middle, and it seems that his seat won't fit behind one of the seats. I know the smartest thing to do would be to go out and physically put his seat behind the passenger seat, but I'm being lazy this morning.
So, if you have a mid-size/large sedan, are you able to keep LO rear-facing on one of the sides? Which carseat do you have? Is there a carseat that would work better for us (I know DH would be thrilled if I bought another carseat, haha)? Thoughts?? TIA!!

gah, stupid bump!
DH and i both drive very small cars.
in my focus, DS is RF behind the driver in an evenflo triumph advance LX and DD is in her babytrend carrier behind the passenger. DH is 5'11 and has no problem driving my car.
DH drives a civic. DD is in her carrier behind the driver side, and DS is in his triumph behind the passenger. no problems there either.
i'm not sure how the triumph compares in size to the seat you already have.
my mom has the triumph in her car and it is shorter than the R50. Hopefully it will work for you Lauren.
We're in just about the same situation. I plan on keeping DS RF past 2 years of age. I have a toyota corolla. Right now he is RF behind the passenger seat. There isn't much room for the passenger. I can fit in the seat - so if DH and I go somewhere together in the Corolla he always has to drive. I'm not sure how we're going to configure our snug ride and roundabout. I'm going to have to play around with it. I'm thinking maybe snug ride in the middle and roundabout behind the passenger. He's going to out grow the roundabout before I'm ready to FF him so we're going to need a new carseat anyway. ugggh.
Believe if or not I think we're also going to have a problem in our Ford Explorer. Right now DS is RF behind the passenger - but the seat has to be pretty far us. The middle row has captain chairs - so there's no middle. DH is pretty tall and I don't think we can have a RF seat behind him. His solution is to turn DS FF which I will NOT do. So we're either going to need a new car or put a carseat in the 3rd row which will probably suck.
I guess I have no advice. I feel your pain though.
