Babies: 9 - 12 Months

I'm so frustrated and can't win (major vent inside)

I get to work at 9. Getting there at 9 means waking up later, eating breakfast at home, letting DD wake up on her own, feeding her, and only being on the road for 30 to 40 mins. I get to work relaxed and start working right away.

My boss told me that the office hours are 8:30 and I had to be here at that time. That means getting up really early, not eating breakfast, waking up DD so she's cranky, forcing her to scarf her bottle down, and being on the road for one hour. I get to work stressed out and just sit around for 30 mins waiting for everyone to get in. Fine. Whatever.

So I'm really making an effort to get there at 8:30. Today I left super early. Guess what? I have been sitting in the same spot for 30 effin mins because 5 mins before I got on the highway there was a major accident and all effin lanes are blocked. I'm in an area where there are no exits and no way for me to turn around.

FML

And the helicopters JUST got here which means that its just now being reported. Guess I'll be late. Sh!t

  • ohhh. Yuck That happened to me a few months ago. DH is a police officer and he came down the interstate, got me, and backed my car up an on-ramp. Talk about illegal...unless the one driving in the po po! Lol.

Good luck. That sucks with LO in the car! :(

  • That sucks but you can't plan around crap like that. Why do you have to be there 30 mins before everyone else gets in?

Getting in at 9 seems reasonable as long as you adjust your hours to stay later at the end of the day.

Yup. Engine off, windows down, chatting with the lady next to me about hair lol
  • DD's not in car w/ me. I dropped her off already. Posted office hours are 830 but its not enforced by every dept and since my job relies on info from other I have to wait until they're ready to answer my emails and take my calls.

  • That really sucks. You can't reason with your boss at all for 30 minutes? It just doesn't seem like that big of a deal to me. But my office is really relaxed and I can come and go whenever.

    You stole the words.

I'm sorry, Mavila.  But I do love that you're chatting hair with the lady next to you.  Smile
