OK...which grammar errors annoy you the most? Your vs. You're? It's vs. Its? Ignoring commas, capitalization, proper spelling because "they'll know what I mean?"
For me, it's the incorrect use of apostrophes. OPKs, not OPK's!!
Grr...I know there are bigger things to worry about, but it drives me batty.
Re: NGPR - Grammar snobs enter
I hate when people post one long paragraph. Break it up, dude. It's easier on the eyes. Also, yes, I appreciate capitalization. It's really not that much of an effort to hit the dang shift key.
I also hate when people use the wrong then/than. I see it all the time.
Seriously, this is a bad post for me. I could go on forever. I'll shut up now.
The two men in my life. Oh, and I have a husband too...
Spelling is a serious issue for me! Especially the most common one I see- CONGRADULATIONS. There is no D in there people!!
I hate when people do this!! I can kind of understand if they are texting, but on the computer?? Come on now!
More annoying than ignoring proper spelling is people who intentionally misspell words to be "kewl". And random abbreviations for everything (think instant message/texting lingo). DRIVES.ME.CRAZY!
Oh, and affect/effect is the most annoying to me I think. I'll usually let "their/they're" slide.

Apostrophes annoy the heck out of me too, and there's also (although this is not technically grammar, I suppose) using numbers or letters for words. eg - U come 2 C me b4 dinner. It looks like a license plate, not a sentence!
For sure. Many years ago when I was an undergrad, I wouldn't wear a sorority t shirt that was "spelled" that way. I paid the fine with pleasure.
I called her out on it one day and she said all snotty-like "well I think it is a unique way of showing your personality, and as long as it is not for work or school then I think it is fine! Some people just like to be unique in their typing, and some people need to loosen up!" Oh, she told me!
Exactly. My supervisor was proofing a report I had to submit. She circled kindergarten and told me I spelled it incorrectly (Apparently it should be spelled kindergarDen. Who knew?)
AHHH this for me too! I HATE when people mispronounce words, especially when you correct them over (and over and over). I have several relatives who mispronounce words and they KNOW they say it wrong (i.e. "atmosbere" instead of "atmosphere", "Tynenol" instead of "Tylenol", "fahities" instead of "fajitas", etc.). They sound so ignorant and uneducated and it drives me up the wall!

I have never heard those words pronounced incorrectly. Could it be that there is a language error I haven't criticized?
I hear "nucular" or "Codorado" way too often.

So the personality she's showing is... what, illiterate?
meh, that use of punctuation doesn't bother me (neither does not capitalizing, as you can see.) https://www.wsu.edu/~brians/errors/acronyms.html. the apostrophe with acronyms is begrudgingly accepted by some experts.
what bothers me is when people use "less" when they mean "fewer," as in the TBS slogan, "more funny, less commercials."
i am also bothered when people use the word phase when they mean faze, as in "it didn't even phase him."
and, i may be making this up, but i think of "aww" as an expression of cuteness or sadness, and "ahh" as an expression of understanding, (as in, "i get it, now.")
edit: to add a missing parenthesis!
I've actually heard that if it's an abbreviation, you can use the apostrophe. One of my friends who teaches language arts at my school had told me that...I just googled and found sites that back it up too. (Here's one as an example if I can get the link to work!)

?Our Baby Boy Born June 26th, 2012?
It bothers me less with acronyms, but people misuse apostrophes all the time to pluralize nouns or conjugate verbs. Mama's, eat's, etc. Drives me crazy!
i completely agree!
and might i add, i hate the use of the non-word alot! and when people say, "a whole nother." it's an other, a whole other!! like PPs, i could go on and on.
love it! those always make me cringe!

My biggest grammar peeve is "your" vs. "you're". I just want to strangle people when they misuse it.
I also really hate when people misuse "myself". Like, saying, "Please contact myself with any questions." or "John and myself went to the movies."
I am an editor/proofreader by trade, though, so every grammar error annoys the crap out of me.
I'm seething just thinking about it...
Ugh I HATE it when people do this. I used to teach middle school language arts and I'd have the kids take pictures of signs that used this incorrectly and we put the pictures up on a Wall of Shame in our classroom. The signs at the grocery store check out are always wrong ("10 items or less"). If you can count the items, it's "fewer," if you can't count them, it's "less." Why is that so hard for people to understand?
I also really, really hate when people use "I" when it should be "me" thinking that they are being more proper. Like if someone posts a picture on facebook and puts the caption "This is a picture of my sister and I on the beach." If it is an object pronoun, it is me. If it is a subject pronoun, it's I. So annoying.

I'm a terrible speller, so I'll let that slide (unless it is something plainly obvious). The things that really get me are I/me, there/they're/their, then/than. Especially I/me. I often proof read things for a superior of mine and she is a huge culprit. Every time she tries to tell me I'm wrong.
I finally got sick of her attitude about it so the last time I told her to "go ahead and send it up, we'll see how corporate likes poor grammar." She looked it up in Wikipedia (the end-all-be-all of knowledge, haven't you heard?)
Needless to say I was right and she doesn't sass anymore.
OMG.. two things immediately come to mind:
Yesterday, a coworker referred to the "Dominion Republic." At first I thought I misheard him, but then he said something else about the "Republic of Dominion." HUH?
And, the quote on my little office calendar today says, "Learn to not only love your family but, even more importantly, to like each one for themselves." Does the grammar/verbiage of this quote bother anyone else as much as it bothers me? Ugh!
No capitalization, no use of apostrophes and saying things like "u" instead of "you."
For this child I prayed, and the LORD has given me my petition which I asked of him.
