I'm almost 4 months now, so I know I still have a while. I'm such a planner and researcher that I don't want to wait too long. So, when do most people start looking at daycares?
Also - any daycare recommendations in the Lebanon or Mason areas (in-home or regular daycare)?
TIA!
Re: When to research daycares? Lebanon/Mason recs?
DD went to the daycare at Northside Baptist in Lebanon and I absolutely loved them (they're close to your house too), but they're under new management since we left so I'm not sure how good it is now.
DD currently goes to extended Kindergarten at Countryside YMCA and we really like them too.
This is the program we are looking at for DD. It is $$ but we love the idea of montessori learning and think it will be a wonderful thing for her. They take infants, but it is $$ to get the montessori piece. Nothing in Mason is cheap. We checked out Creme de la Creme and were not impressed though their price was even higher. We are looking for preschool to start when she is two plus years old. I know someone who sends her kids to The Child's Place, and she can't say enough good things. Her oldest is even doing kindergarten there. Sometimes you have to pay for the good things, and we are willing to try it.
For now, we have a private sitter who cares for kids in her home. It has been great, but we know we will eventually need something with more structured learning than she could ever get in that setting.
We are looking at the JCC Early Child Care at Cedar Village in Mason. It is a Montessori school and you do not have to be Jewish to go there.
