Daycare is making me second guess....

I love our daycare, really they are like family... but occiassionaly they send home notes and printouts that make you feel like you are getting scolding...

today we got one that said we need to send more food for the day for DD...

She's not even 8 months, JUST got her first teeth and here is her food sched

B: 4-6 oz plus fruit and cereal

S: 8 oz

L: 4-6 oz plus fruit

S: 8 oz plus yogurt (this is new)

D: 4-6 oz, meat and veggie and startch (potato or rice)

She is above average on weight and height... She hasn't quite mastered finger foods or the sippy cup but we are working on it... I don't feel like we are doing anything wrong. This is a pretty normal sched right?

guess I have to have a talk with the DCP.

    Wow, they'd really hate us!  We JUST started sending breakfast today, as we had only been doing two meals until today!  I'd just talk with them, and tell them you are happy with her schedule as is.  If they still push, talk to your pedi about it for their thoughts.

    I'm only on 2 meals a day, still!  Not going to start 3 until 9 mo.  She nurses on demand, though still.

    I'm sure they are not trying to scold you as far as not feeding your LO enough. Maybe she is still acting hungry when she finishes her snack/meal. I used to work in day care, and we'd write on their daily sheets to bring more food.. not because we thought the baby should be eating more, but because they didn't act satisfied when they finished their meal. Sometimes the babies would finish their own food and try to eat all the other LOs food, lol. I'd talk to the teachers and see what exactly the situation is. HTH :)
