Celine Dion is on her 5th IVF

Just saw Oprah preview and she's on tomorrow talking about it.  I'm not a fan but I am interested in hearing about that.

    I'm no fan either (she drives me batty in fact) but she's been on quite the road with all of that.

    I'm just glad that a celebrity is actually talking about infertility. I know I'll record it to see what she says about dealing with all of the baggage that goes with trying unsuccessfully!

    oh wow i didnt know that.  didnt her husband have testicular cancer and they saved the sperm?  am i remembering correctly?

    I had read somewhere that she had several failed attempts.  I'm not a fan of hers but I do feel for her...

    Ok, no need to be hating on Celine...she's a Canadian icon don't you know...the way she beats on her chest everytime she sings my heart will goes on brings a tear to my eye...barf.

    I'll be PVR'ing it too.

    TTC since July 2007 a year on our own, 7 IUIs spread out over 2 years, all BFN IVF attempt #1 - September - antagonist protocol, called off CD8 due too poor response IVF attempt #2 - November - called off on CD11 due to low estrogen IVF attempt #3 - started stims Jan 25th...converted/cancelled Jan 31st...SWITCHED BACK TO IVF Feb 3rd! ER Feb 7th...lets DO this! ET Feb 12th, Beta #1 141, Beta #2 356, u/s #1 hb 141 bpm, u/s at 7 weeks 1 day no hb, missed m/c. So sad. IVF #4 scheduled for June 2011, last chance, this is it

    Wasn't she just recently pregnant and lost that baby?  I am sure that I heard that on tv.  I think that it is good to have someone that is a little high profile talking about infertility issues.  Interesting stuff!

    Neeeeaaaaaar Faaaaarrrr, where ever you arrrrrrree......

    Will also be watching. 

    1 ectopic 3 m/c's prior to 5/05 Un-freaking-explained IF 5/05 IVF, BFN 9/05 FET 3d5e, BFP = Beautiful Baby Girl (lucky pg #5) 8/08 Fet 3d5e, cp 12/08 IVF with PGD, transfer 3, BFN 5/09 FET transfer 4, BFN Hail Mary IUI with Follistim 9/11 BFP; 9/22 confirmed tubal/MTX 4/10 FET 3d5e, BFP!!!! m/c 5/26/10 1 year break and yet another m/c 5/11 FET #5 initial beat 121, second beta 7 Lap and removal of L tube and very mild endo 7/11 Suprise BFP 12/11 & m/c @ 8 wks. After 11 losses and one beautiful miracle our journey is over, we are thankful and at peace.

    In my opinion, there is a statute of limitations on how old you can be  -  and still play the air guitar.
