ChrisnTris...I posted a while back about St. V's (I have the option to deliver there or at Kaiser Sunnyside). Is there any info you can give me re: the size of the rooms for delivery, the room after deliver and the prospect of sharing with another person???

Sure! The delivery rooms are huge, spacious and comfortable, the post partum rooms are smaller, but still nice. It's kind of tight, especially if you have a CS and have to be there for 4 days but you can't beat the care you get at St V's. I had my baby there, I could have chosen elsewhere but I know and trust the nurses there and am so happy with my decision! It was also vital for me to deliver at a hospital with a level 3 NICU, which St V's has, just in case anything went wrong, thank God nothing did! At St V's you wont have a roommate, but there is a triage room with 3 beds, but that's just where they see if you are actually in labor or not.....so you wouldn't be in there for long anyway.
I don't ususally post here, but I just wanted to say that I delivered at St. V's a year and a half ago and it really is a wonderful place. We live in Camas/Washougal Washington and I was scheduled to deliver at Providence Portland. Since my water broke at 34 weeks, I had to be transported out to St. V's for their NICU. That facility is so amazingly wonderful and the staff of nurses and doctors are truly the best. I'm in awe of what you do every day and am thankful for everyone out there.
