I was thinking about putting together a little something for DH for Valentine's Day...He's already been packing a few things for the hospital, but I wanted to include a few fun things to let him know I've been thinking of him. I just know he's not going to remember what snacks he wants to bring or whatever for When the Time Comes... If you were making one of these, what would you include? (2nd time mom's, I'd love your input--anything you think was helpful to keep dad calm or encouraged!)

What a cool idea! I'm totally going to steal it. Don't worry, I'll pay you a finder's fee! LOL
Haha, sounds good to me!
I'll admit I actually got the idea yesterday from another post... Someone writing out a checklist for their hubby so they don't freak out when she goes into labor. I'm going to include something like that too... the first item on the list is to let out a "woohoo!" as our little girl will be on her way!
This is a really nice idea! Besides just the necessities like snacks and ones for the vending machine... Are you doing any music that you're bringing? Can you do a little playlist for him on your or his ipod or include a CD he particularly likes? How about a little bottle of champagne for him to find after the delivery and you can share? I think my DH would appreciate a little father's day-type card from the baby if it was a surprise in the bag for him to find. A new dad shirt or sports jersey like the PP said is a great idea.

This is funny if you are looking for something!
Plenty of snacks in case he doesn't feel like running to the cafeteria, or if the cafeteria is closed. DH felt bad going to eat while I labored and couldn't eat, but I insisted he eat to keep his strength up. Also some drinks to keep in the room, so DH doesn't get dehydrated.
Make sure to have plenty of change, a change of clothes for him, something to keep him occupied (magazines, computer, etc).
DS #1 born January 2010. DS #2 due June 2014.
When we found out we were having a girl, DH was super excited (he got all teary at the ultrasound! I didn't even cry...!), but also intimidated I think... I ordered a book about dad's and daughters and different activities they can do together from when they're tiny to when they grow older--I think I'm going to include that in his bag cause I really think he'll read it. He's all about "being prepared" and so hopefully it will give him some ideas. I'm glad we found out what we're having, I think it needed to sink in a little for him
Thanks for the ideas ladies, these are helpful! So far, this is what I'm thinking about including:
-Book mentioned above (https://www.amazon.com/Dads-Daughters-Togetherness-Guide-Relationship/dp/076792469X/ref=pd_ecc_rvi_cart_3)
-Magazines
-Change for vending machine, and other snacky things
-Maybe a comfy, compact pillow he can use in the hospital and also for camping (he's always stealing our living room pillows when we go!!)
-Possibly his DS?
-I like the house shoes/slippers idea... DH totally sports old man slippers at home, lol. It'd be nice to get him something comfy too as he'll be home for a week or two.
