Any Little Gym bday party experiences to share?

I'm thinking about doing this from now on.

  • Posting to see replies.  We are considering doing this for DS's party in April.

  • We did this for P's third birthday, since a) I was two weeks pp and b) she takes classes there and loves it. It was a big hit!

It's $250 for an hour and half ($200, if you're a member) for up to 15 kids. It's $10 each for each kid beyond 15. They supply everything - balloons, paper products, juice, utensils, etc. They also do the set up and clean up. The only thing we had to do was bring the cake and ice cream and the goodie bags.

The 90 minutes is typically divided up like this: 60 minutes in the gym (to include the use of the Airtrak) and 30 minutes for the party, if you're doing presents. If you're not opening presents, they give the kids about 10 more minutes in the gym.

Two staff members are there the entire time, but they encourage parents to stay with their kids (they're required to, if the child is under two).

To me, it was the perfect party - location, set up, length, entertainment value. The kids had the best time and most of the parents who stayed raved about it and said they were going to look into it for their kids' parties.

  • Kitty, based on Goose's response, I just called our Little Gym to inquire. Not sure when your DS's birthday is, but our LG is already booking up for the 2nd weekend in April.  Just thought I'd mention it case you are like me and tend to wait until the last minute for certain things!
