Hello all -
Going for IUI #3 next week. We've had 4 BFP tests, 3 natural and 1 from IUI #1 - I think we missed ovulation last time All chemical pregnancies. So I either I'm too old, implantation issues or poor egg quality.
Currently on Letrozole (Femara), Gonal F and will trigger next week. then HcG shots. Thanks to another poster I have been reading that wheat grass, maca, royal jelly & bee pollen all can improve egg quality. Some reports indicate that it takes three months but I am going for it anyway with the IUI next week. Plus, I am eating lots of organic egg whites and drinking protein supplements. I've also gotten back into my workout regime.
Wish me luck and baby dust to all!!
Re: Royal Jelly, Maca, Wheat Grass & Protein
Good luck with your IUI!
Do you have a book or a good website that gave you info about the wheat grass, royal jelly, etc?
I have heard a bit about them, but I would like to learn more.
TIA
Good luck!
You are certainly doing everything you can to make this happen.
Hi Everyone...just wanted to give you all the update. I had an ultrasound on Sunday and had 4 large (one was 24!) follies. Hopefully the wheat grass, royal jelly etc. helped the quality. It may be too soon, though. Today was insemination day! Now for the two week wait.
I thank you all so much for your interest. I really just researched the topic on the interenet being carefully to sift through the propaganda. I finally found a groove with the supplements too. Basically I made a high protein spirilla shake with greek yogurt (for added protein), royal jelly (500 mg), fruit, ice and juice or milk (and water). I would then take maca (500mg) and more superfood supplements (500 mg). I would as much as possible drink a shot of wheat grass when available to me freah, or take a wheat grass supplement. Also, I have been taking natural whle food prenatal vitamins and fish oil. I have to take those 2 to 3x per day because they are completly absorbed at each meal.
I will keep everyone posted on the progress and the long two week wait now! Baby dust to all!
