Short backstory - my brother has a 14yo daughter he gave up his parental rights to. He never wanted to discuss the issue just saying it was the best thing to do all the while giving us all the impression that the mom is the one who kept him from his daughter. He felt intimidated and didn't want to fight.
Obviously not the case.
Fast forward 14 years later, I decided to contact the mother to find out how they all are, especially my niece is and wanting nothing more than that - I mean no harm or disruption. She's happy to hear from me, sets the record straight about the past, we talk, we're happy, blah blah blah.
Then all contact is shut off. I email, FB email and nothing. I finally do get a reply off one email and it's very brush-off-ish. A few weeks later, I email again (today) asking her to just be straight that if she has changed her mind and "doesn't want me around", she can most certainly say so. I just want to know.
~anxiously awaits a reply~
Just had to get that off my chest.

Re: Does anyone remember my long lost niece stories?
ugh how could you leave the story like that?? Don't post this stuff until there is a conclusion!
Seriously though, good luck.
Interesting. I want to hear what she says!
Her mom.
And here is the link that leads to all.
this is what I'm thinking may have happened.
