So I said in the weekly update that the only thing that helps pass the time until we can TTC is planning for the imaginary baby
Yes, it's odd...but it works!
We've pretty much decided on Levi if we have another boy...I'm in love with it, my family doesn't like it but we're using it if there's a boy.
For a girl we thought we liked Avery, which I still do I just don't LOVE it as much as I do Levi....so we've been exploring other options. The ones we can semi agree on besides Avery are Stella and Cameron. Yay, nay??
We also both like Harper, which we considered before we had our loss, but now DH's cousin is having a baby (don't know the sex yet) but they are considering Harper for a girl. But even if they have a boy I'd feel like I was stealing it because they're actually pregnant and I'm not.
What are your favorite girl names??
Re: DH is at work and I'm bored....so baby names!
Before DH and I found out we were having a boy, this was our 'girl name' list: Annabelle, Abigail, Alexis, Elaina, Hannah, Grace, Mia, Lucy, Brooke and Elise.
Unfortunately I used my 2 favorite girl names for my female cats: Isabelle and Olivia!
I love the name Stella but DH nixed it (he thinks it is too "different", I tend to like more traditional names but I think Stella is really cute)
If we had had a girl the names we liked were: Natalie Rose and Margaret Josephine (Maggie Jo)
I also liked the names Grace, Roslyn, and Caroline/Carolyn (nickname: Linny)
I personally think of Avery and Cameron more as boy names for some reason but I do like both of them
Girl names are super hard for us. The only two girl names that are on our list currently are Eva and Stella. Although I also like Lillian and Adelaide.
I think Stella "goes" really well Noah and I love the name Harper.
I like all your girls names. I don't think you could go wrong with any of them!
BTW - I paged you down further on the board but don't know if you saw it. Where did you get your DS sled from? It's adorable! I love how there is straps to keep them more secure.
TIA!
We have a hard time w/ girl names. We both like (but I'm guessing probably won't use) Dahlia. I can't think of any that we agree upon outside of that but I know there are a few... I am completely drawing a blank right now.
We bought a book of 35,000 baby names from the used bookstore and every night we each go through it and add names to the list. I have a list and DH has a list (so we don't judge or shoot down each other's ideas) and at the end we'll go through the other person's list and choose ones we both like.
I am just floored by how many "stella's" you girls have mentioned. I love that name and it has been a top three for us all along!
We also like Arden Claire for a girl...hmmm, what else... Sydney, Quinn, ....
I like Cordelia and Odessa, but DH hated them.
Boys: Bennett, Nicolas, Tucker, Sabastian,
I like Kellas and Kellen, but DH nixed them
Well obviously Avery is one of my favorites. We're running into a lot of the "unisex name" issues lately although I'm used to it since I'm an Erin. People assume DD is a boy based on her name until I correct them.
If DS had been a girl he would have been Lila or Noelle.
Erin I have a friends whose DD is Lyla Noelle--small world! lol
Girls: Aubrey, Meredith, Nora, Evelyn (DH has nixed them all!)
Boys: Nolan James, or Nolan Benjamin. (The only names we agree on)
I agree, those are both boy names to me. I prefer very feminine names for girls, so my fave of your choices is Stella.
Ditto this, except my favorite of your choices is Harper.
My favorite girl names besides the ones I've already used are Tess, Aubrey, Audrey, Amelie, Adelyn, Genevieve, Olivia (nn Liv), Abby, Elisabeth, Norah, Lila and Kate.
