I regret telling DH

to man up and stop complaining. He complains constantly about all these things that hurt him. Today it's his stomach and head...I find it so annoying but now I feel bad because I hurt his feelings.

Re: I regret telling DH

  • tell him to grow a pair

    just kidding

Tell him you are sorry that you said it in way that hurt his feelings, but the constant complaining is getting old. After all, you don't complain for every minor thing.

  • I know how you feel. My DH is a constant complainer too when it comes to pain. It drives me crazy, but I try to realize that I really have no idea how bad his pain really is. I'm sure he just has a much lower pain tolerance than I do, but there have definitely been times I want to scream "Just shut up already, cry baby!"

    Indifferent at myself.

  • My dad is like that so we tend to ignore him when he complains.  Well last time he was complaining about his stomach we didn't give him any sympathy and then it turned out to be 7 bleeding ulcers.  Oops.  He was fine but it was a case of crying wolf too many times.  I felt really bad.

  • LOL, I just basically told DH the same thing earlier tonight.  He is SO dramatic when he's not feeling - "Is it cold in here or is it just me?"  "I think I have the chills."  "I have to shower to warm up - I must be getting sick."  Wah, wah wah.
