What are you doing for a 1st birthday?

I have a HUGE family...very tough to 'draw the line' and I really do not want to spend a fortune...thinking of renting a tent for our backyard (it will be in June, but I am trying to plan ahead) :) Anyone else have any ideas/suggestions?

    We have a big park by my house. Our house is too small. So we are doing it there. It has about 6 tables and two diff. play areas for the kids. We have a big family too. We are doing cold foods. (sandwiches etc.) Jungle theme.

    DH has a large extended family...but they don't do everything necessarily together esp a first bday...

    So we are only inviting the grandparents on that side of the family..

    Backyard at my parent's house, they live closer to friends and family than we do. Grilling some burgers and eating cake!
