Babies on the Brain

*********Trying to conceive prayer group************

Hi everyone, The TTC Prayer Group is a support group utilizing the power of prayer. If you want to join we will assign you a prayer buddy and all you have to do is simply include that person in your prayers. Very simple-yet powerful!!! Feel free to search under TTC prayer group and check in at whatever time of day. If you have any concerns, special prayer requests, or need to reach us outside of the nest email us at suzannesteward69@yahoo.com or jplotz22@gmail.com.

If you want to join the group and be linked up with a prayer partner please provide the following info: your name, if you choose, your email address, your age, if you are TTC baby number 1, 2, etc, and how long you've been trying. I'll assign you a partner the following day and you can begin posting as soon as you ask to join. Thanks!

I am Suzanne, 39 years old, and my DH and I have been trying to have a baby for four years. In 2008, we had undertaken fertility treatments and had four IUIs ? all BFNs. We got our BFP after completing our first IVF cycle. Unfortunately, however, I had a missed miscarriage and a D&C on September 17. We will try IVF again in the summer.

I am Jessica; after TTC with PCOS for almost a year DH and I have been blessed with a miracle through IVF. Our daughter is due May 19th, 2010.

For this week, February 8-12, Suzanne will post between 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. Eastern Standard time. For next week, February 15-19, Jess will post between 11:30 to 12:30 Central Standard time.

  • QOTD: I didn't do a whole lot this weekend.  I read a lot, laid in bed, watched the Superbowl...nothing too exciting.

I have another appointment today.  My OB wants me to have the baby sooner rather than later due to my bp issues.  He was hoping to strip my membranes on Friday but I wasn't dilated at all (you have to be at least 1cm dilated for them to be able to do that).  So we'll see if he's able to today and if it gets things going!  He said at this point if he tried to induce me, I'd likely end up with a c-section b/c my cervix isn't ready.  I'd really like to avoid a c-section (and induction) so I'd appreciate your prayers that things will get moving soon!  Thanks!

    You're all in my prayers!

  • QOTD:  Did a lot of relaxing this weekend.  Went to a Superbowl party on Sunday.  Not too much excitement, but that's good too.

Update: I am anxiously waiting to see if AF arrives this week or if I get a BFP.  I would love to have that BFP on our own and not have to see the fertility doctor.  We kept up a rigorous routine this past week, in hopes of making things work.  I'll keep you posted on what happens.

  • QOTD:  It was a pretty quiet weekend.  Although I did win $50 for the first Quarter in our Super Bowl pool! :)

Shotzie, keeping you in my prayers that your little one arrives soon and safe and easily, without a c-section!  Hang in there, and keep us updated!  We'll be thinking of you.

Rp Panda, thinking of you and praying that this cycle will be the one for you and your DH!!!!  I am very hopeful.

    Emily, welcome! :)

  • QOTD:  My sister was supposed to come down this weekend so we could meet each other's boys. But because of the 2 feet of snow (both here in MD and in PA where my sister lives) we have to reschedule for this weekend.  Hopefully this next storm expected tomorrow night won't hampen this coming weekend too!  Tommy is 8 weeks old and BJ is 7 weeks tomorrow - they still haven't met each other yet!

Prayer Request - The last weekend in January we discovered blood in BJ's stool.  We went to the pediatrician who believes it is food allergies.  We had to get blood drawn for some tests but BJ's veins are very uncooperative.  They stuck him twice (in arm and ankle) but couldn't gather ANY blood.  We were supposed to back to do a heel prick (and they would milk the blood out until they had enough) but the lab didn't receive the "microtubes" yet.  Now with all of the snow and more expected tomorrow I don't know when we will get to the lab. We haven't seen any blood since last Wednesday so I'm not terribly concerned that we haven't been able to get the blood tested yet.  I have eliminated all dairy products (the most common allergy) and soy products.  I'll keep you posted on what happens!  I have started a blog at www.teamdeschaine.blogspot.com if anyone would like to see pictures of our family.

Shotzie - It's really fun to have a baby only 9 days after my sister.  I'm sure your daughter and Grace will grow up to be very close cousins!

Congratulations to all of the recent pregnancies!  You are all in my prayers!
