When did you cut her hair for the first time?
DD has a natural double part, so all her hair is right in her face. Barrettes are a must for keeping it out of her eyes. (right now it hits the end of her nose with no barrette)
DH (and a few others) want me to get her bangs cut. I keep insisting that once it gets long enough it will fall to the side.
I really don't want to cut it yet.
WDYT?
Re: If you have a girl
I trimmed Ava's bangs once when she was a little over a year old, and then I just let them grow out and have never cut her hair since. I just always used a barrette (and still usually do) before they grew out long enough to fall to one side.
Ryan just had her first haircut a couple weeks ago. I did not want her to have bangs so I let them grow out. Yes, she looked a little shaggy when at home but when we go out she always wears a clip. Luckily she doesn't mind them. She calls them her pretties:-)
We broke down and took her to my stylist around Thanksgiving to cut off part of her curly mullet in the back.
(It was constantly tangled and hurt her to comb out.) She was 20 months.
Her hair is quite long now, and I part it on one side and pin it back with a
Target clippy/put it in a ponytail. I will just let it keep growing - I don't want to cut bangs.

Same here. I had bangs until a few years ago and I won't be dealing with them on Kate. I cut Kate's mullet a few weeks ago. She had a long section in the back so I trimmed it up to match the rest of her hair. I cried after I did it because I was attached to her baby hair. I thought it looked awful and completely regretted doing it. That all changed when we went in to daycare and the teacher commented on how much nicer Kate's hair looked even before I mentioned cutting it.
