coughing

in Babies: 9 - 12 Months
poor dd keeps waking herself up during her naps and at night with a cough. She rarely gets sick but a cough seems to be her biggest symptom. Is there any sort of baby cough medicine or should I make her tough it out?

    you're not supposed to give babies otc cough medicine bc they've been proven to be ineffective in kids so young.

    i don't think they give any medecine other than tylenol and motrin for babies under 2 now...vaporizer and elevate her mattress will help!

    DD has a cough/cold right now too. The mattress elevation has helped a little, but sitting in a steamy bathroom with her helped quite a bit too. Here is hoping it goes away soon!
