2 and a half years ago when I was still just engaged AF was late. I bought some digital tests at work and snuck them home, not wanting to alert soon to be DH to an issue. I tested and got a BFP a BBBBBFP... PREGNANT!!! Told SO and he was supportive but scared. We went to target, he was all cute and getting excited at this point, bought 3 different types of tests all BFN. Then 2 days later AF came. So,false BFP's are rare, but even digitals make mistakes... and with that I say goodnight. Talk to you all tomorrow.

Not to be a downer but another explanation is that you could have had a chemical pregnancy.

I thought that too, and maybe, but i tested several more times that night and got all neg even on digital ones. and the next am.

I'm so sorry that happened, you must have been so frustrated. You're right, it could have been a false positive, but it also could have been a chemical pregnancy.

That's what would be expected to happen with a c/p - negatives after a positive.

I can't speak to your personal experience and I guess anything is possible, but if someone has a chemical pregnancy (early miscarriage) they can get a positive pregnancy test and then a negative. But, as you say, anything is possible.

ahhh didn't know that.. yeah i just really wrote this cause it seems these are so much more expensive and ppl think these make things easier, but lemme tell you c/p or false BFP seeing the word made it harder to swallow.

So true. I had two months of chemical pregnancies in a row. Each month I had positive tests for about 1-3 days, and then suddenly they were negative.
