Hi! Just realized this board existed. I have been on here for a couple of years and now DH and I are back on the road to TTC. Olivia will be 21 months in a couple weeks and we are hoping to for a fall/winter baby.

I nursed her for 12 months and was on Implanon for 1 1/2 years until getting it taken out 3 weeks ago due to crazy cylces. Now I am charting and waiting for AF to arrive. Dr. thought first AF after having Implanon taken out would be pretty quick but nothing.......

It is definitely crazy being back in this place again!! Wink

How did you like Implanon? After being on it while I nursed I loved it b/c I never got AF. Then 6 months after weaning Olivia I had AF every other week....hence one of the major reasons I had it taken out.

9 WEEKS!! Holy crap.....glad I have started charting!!

I had a love hate relationship with it. I got it in because I didnt want to get pregnant and the pill always has given me issues, DH did not like the feel of Nuvaring. When I got it in I had 3 months of non stop spotting and light bleeding. Then I had 3 months of every 2 weeks having AF, then it was fine like 1 day AF's but I gained 35lbs in 6 months. the whole month before I got it out I was spending an average of 2 1/2 hours a day at the gym eating 1500 calories and I couldnt lose a single pound, infact I was gaining (and it was not muscle either, I was doing measurements too I gained about an average of 3 inches to every part of my body) soooooo.... Yeah, I loved it.. but I couldnt do the weight gain.

I got AF a few days after getting it out. But I strategically scheduled the removal for a week before my "AF" was due. There are a lot of factors that go into it.
