Babies: 3 - 6 Months

He's napped 1 hr today

Woke up at 6:30am.  Took a 45 min nap around 9 and another 15 minute one around 3.  I guess I spoke too soon about my success with The No Cry Nap Solution. haha

Re: He's napped 1 hr today

  • Heh.. we had DD up at 8:15 this morning.. she slept for maybe an hour around 10, and then resisted sleep until I put her in her swing... almost 2 hours ago.. and she's still passed out. She normally only naps in her swing for half an hour - 45 minutes, so this is really unusual for her. She must've needed it! I'm debating on trying to put her in the PNP, but I think that'll just wake her up.

  • Isn't that always the case?  I feel like every time I figure out how to get DD to sleep well for her naps, she'll change it up on me!
  • DD doesn't nap much at home with us on weekends, but sleeps 3-5 hours of her 8 hours at daycare. What's up with that?

Oh man.  Well I thought I had it all figured out and then he seriously started sleeping with one eye slightly open.  If we make a move he doesn't like (put him anywhere to sleep except on us) he wakes up.  I've decided to just get over trying to get stuff accomplished and let him sleep on me.  He's only a baby for a short time.

  • My no-napper stole his sleep- I got over 3 hours out of my little man. He's now talking to the TV- Super Bowl's on.
  • Oh,m If you're having problems getting him to close his eyes, here's what my mom (the former preschool teacher) told me.Stroke his forehead lightly, going down from hairline.. the motion will make them close their eyes. It totally helps put DS out when he's fighting.

DD somehow is able to fight this reflex... it works for the first couple times and then she'll open her eyes really wide to fight it.

  • I do something similar with DD. When she is sleepy I kiss her forhead which makes her eyes close and sometimes they just stay closed!
