Last night my MIL babysat so my DH and I could go out to dinner. Before leaving, I told her she could put a fleece sleep sack on my DS but she should take off her sleeper before and just put him in the sleep sack in his onesie. She disagreed and tried to explain that he needed the onesie, sleeper and sleep sack. I told her that he gets sweaty if he has too much on, but after she continued to explain why he should wear everything, I decided to pick and choose my battles. I knew we wouldn't be out long and I could always change him as soon as we got home. Guess what. When we got home he was in his sleep sack and a onesie. She told me he got too hot and sweaty with the sleeper on, too. Yes. I told you that.

I had one of those moments the other day with my MIL. She held DS the whole time she was here and he started getting fussy. I told her that he needed to be laid down and that he doesn't like to be handled too much. She was convinced that he was fine and that he just needed his diaper changed. Nope, diaper is dry as a bone and so I just took him from her and laid him on his blanket. He calmed down immediatly! It felt soooo good to give her that "I told you so" look!
