1st Trimester

My Dog...yargh!

So I have had such bad morning sickness that my Dr. told me to hold off on the prenatals for a few days and take Flinestones gummy vitamins instead.  So I finally feel well enough to leave the house yesterday (for 4 hours) and come home to find that my dog ate THE ENTIRE bottle of vitamins and threw them up in various places around the house..so after a rush visit to the vet (as the dog had an allergic reaction)  I got to come home wanting to throw up...to clean up lots of throw up :(

Bummer

  • I'm sorry for your troubles... but I can't help but laugh too. I have two dogs of my own, both labs under 1 year old.... so I can sympathize. I swear they are a lot of trouble sometimes but I wouldn't trade them for the world. I hope your nausea eases up soon!

    This. ?Hang in there!
  • So sorry!  Sounds exactly like something my dog (8 months) would do.  Recently though, she has started bringing frozen turds up to the house when she comes in from outside.  Its nasty.  Then, she smells like poop- DH can't smell it, but then he does not have preg nose!!

  • We have two labs as well.  One is about to turn 3 on Tuesday and the other is a little over 1.  They are a hand full!  Some days I wonder how I am going to have a baby and two dogs all in the house.  Between the drool, dog hair, barking, tails knocking everything off that is at their level, nails on the hardwood floor (very loud) etc. it can get a little crazy!  No one can come to our door without our dogs going nuts!  I love them to death but I'm not sure how we are going to manage them with a new baby.  I'm hoping they will calm down a little once the LO arrives.  Wish me luck*

  • You poor thing! I'm sure thats the last thing you felt like doing when you got home. I know how you feel though, we have 4 dogs and 3 of them are over 100lbs. They are our babies though and I wouldn't trade them for the world. Hang in there girl!
