took 3 tests..

So ive taken three pregnancy tests over the past week, all of them giving a positive reading. i havnt gotten a chance to make a doctors appointment yet to confirm... but from your expieriences with pregnancy tests, what are the chances that i am for sure pregnant?  .. i know it sounds like a stupid question, but my husband just got back from iraq a little over three weeks ago, one week after my last period. so as much as i want to be pregnant, i am a little leary.   thanks!

    False negatives are more common than false positives. With 3 positive tests, you are definitely pregnant! Also, if you make an appointment to confirm, they make you pee in a cup and it's pretty much exactly the same as peeing on a stick. Congratulations! You are pregnant!

    False negatives- likely

    False positive- highly unlikely.

    If 3 tests confirm it then you are! Make a Dr appointment and they will/can do a blood test also.

    Well, one week after your last period (ended, I assume?) would put you at approx. 14 days - the optimal time to get pg (if your cycles are around 28 days).  And with 3  + tests, I'd say they don't lie!

    When my SIL went to her first appointment they didn't confirm her pregnancy.  They said that the HPT are so accurate that they don't retest.  So with 3 tests, I'd say you are pregnant!  Congratulations!

    I took three tests before I called the Dr. I was thinking I would have to go in for a blood test to confirm, but when I told the nurse I had done the home test she said I was pregnant and there was no need to come in just for another preg test!

    Congraulations!!!!!  I took 3 as well!  Then went to the OB and they confirmed it... but when I made the appt they said, it sound like you are.. it is just routine for them to confirm it..


    So congrats tootsie!!!  Welcome!
